I've got a couple of other little things to show you as well, just to make sure you're up to speed.

Bamboo/Cotton crochet purse

Owl pillow with individually sewn felt feathers on its tummy.

I LOVE CRAFT

Have I mentioned that my Nana makes the greatest fruit cakes.

These are always made, with love and care, for special occasions like birthdays and Christmas.

Usually they're decorated with pretty little icing flowers and have precisely piped letters on them.

I fondly remember one in particular which she made me for my 5th birthday that had a barbie stuck in the middle, every little girls dream birthday cake!

In fact, I'll have to dig through the photo albums to find it and show you!

Anyhow, for my dad's birthday recently I really wanted to help Nana ice the cake, but I thought it would be fun to have a little personal twist...

My dad's a really keen gardener, I'd bought him a subscription to NZ Gardener, and Nana had bought a couple of Vege seed packets, so we came up with this edible little creation:

Complete with fake dirt!

In the end, we all ended up overdosing on icing sugar, but it was definitely worth it.

It was obviously a very healthy cake, ahem, you know, with all the veges and fruit on it!

Wow this is awesome, I'm romping through these hehe

Since I had a little extra organic cotton left over, and I needed a case to protect my new and fragile plastic camera, I decided to crochet a case:

I finished it off with some great buttons I got from Nana's

Now all I need to do is crochet a case for the flash :)

If you remember my post of brooches I admired from etsy (check it out if you don't!)
Then you'll want to see the brooch that I made!!

I even drew the little bird in the middle, its a yellow head x robin creation

Side view! the brooch consists of 2 brass plates with clear perspex in between. The finding on the back and each of the eight cute little rivets is sterling silver.

I love rivets!!

I also made these two interlocking silver rings:

Just over a month ago I also bought the Diana Mini camera from Lomography,

I'm still trying to figure out how to best photos out of this little cutie, I'm also not uch of a photographer, but these show you the kind of pics that I hope to expect more of...

These are from my first film:

My good english friend, Lizzie an I

My puppies, Sebastian.  And a double exposure of Sebastian and Chloe

Chelsea Sugar Factory

Didn't really go as planned, but this is a quadruple exposure of Lizzie. Great colour though!

Edition 2 of The Granny Chapter

As promised, I'm going to fill you in with what I've been up to since I last published a serious post.
I've also, as of one hour ago, just completed the last essay that I will have to write for my degree! Yippee

It's obviously got me in the writing mood.

I've been continuing my crocheting, I think I'm getting quite good at it now.

I have actually been teaching my Nana how to crochet too. She's a whizz at knitting and all those other things that Nana's know how to do, but never learnt crochet.

So we find projects to make and have some quality time together, making scones, drinking tea and the like, check out this bag, (hers was a green and cream coloured version)...

It took a while to make, but it was worth it. It's also made from an amazing organic cotton :)
